1. Eligibility
1.1 Entrants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
1.2 The competition is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand only.
1.3 Entrants must hold a current WRTW membership (free registration). A paid MY WRTW Premium membership is not required to enter or win.
1.4 Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and any person or entity directly involved with the administration of the competition are not eligible to enter.
1.5 Entrants who are suspended or banned from the WRTW platform are not eligible to enter.
2. Competition Categories
2.1 Pride & Joy — open to all WRTW members who submit a genuine photograph of their own vehicle.
2.2 Organiser — open to verified WRTW Organisers. AI-assisted promotional artwork is permitted for Organiser entries where appropriate, provided the artwork accurately represents the event or vehicle.
2.3 Future competition categories (including any business category) may be introduced at the Promoter's discretion and will be subject to the terms in force at that time.
3. Entry Requirements
3.1 Each entrant may submit one entry per person per round.
3.2 Entries must be submitted on the designated social media platform for the round (Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok) as specified by the Promoter.
3.3 Entrants must use their WRTW @handle to identify their entry. The @handle and the entrant's immutable WRTW user ID will be recorded by the Promoter for verification purposes.
3.4 Pride & Joy entries:
- The submitted photograph must be a genuine photograph of the entrant's own vehicle.
- Minor edits (cropping, colour correction, brightness/contrast adjustment) are permitted.
- Material AI alterations that significantly change the vehicle's appearance, identity, or features are not permitted and may result in disqualification.
3.5 Organiser entries:
- AI-assisted promotional artwork is permitted where it accurately represents the event or vehicle.
- The artwork must not be misleading or deceptive.
3.6 By entering, the entrant confirms they own the submitted image or have permission to use it, and grant the Promoter permission to use the image for competition and promotional purposes as set out in these terms.
4. Duplicate Entries
4.1 The Promoter will identify duplicate entries using the entrant's WRTW user ID and the competition round.
4.2 Where an entrant has submitted multiple entries (including via multiple accounts), the entry with the highest valid reaction total will be considered, subject to eligibility and verification.
4.3 All other entries by the same entrant in the same round will be flagged as duplicates and will not be eligible to win.
5. Reaction Scoring
5.1 Reaction points are calculated based on eligible emoji reactions (likes, loves, and equivalent positive reactions) on the entrant's original social media post, as manually recorded by the Promoter's administrator.
5.2 Shares, saves, bookmarks, views, and comments are not included in the reaction-point total.
5.3 The Promoter reserves the right to exclude any reactions that it reasonably believes to be the result of coordinated, automated, or deceptive manipulation.
5.4 Reaction totals are manually recorded and verified by the Promoter's administrator. The Promoter's recorded total is final.
6. Tie-Break
6.1 In the event of a tie on reaction points, the winner will be determined by the earliest verifiable original upload timestamp of the tied entries.
6.2 The original upload timestamp is determined from the social media platform's recorded timestamp and may be verified by the Promoter at its discretion.
7. Winner Determination
7.1 The winner will be the eligible entrant with the highest verified reaction-point total, applying the tie-break in clause 6.1 where necessary.
7.2 The Promoter's administrator will verify the eligibility of the winning entry before confirming the winner.
7.3 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the eligibility requirements or these terms.
8. Winner Feature — Cinematic & Splash
8.1 The winner's vehicle will be featured in a six-second approved cinematic video, followed by a three-second static congratulations splash, displayed when visitors open the WRTW platform.
8.2 If the cinematic video is unavailable or rejected, an eight-second static-only congratulations splash will be displayed using the winner's original submitted vehicle photograph.
8.3 The winner feature will be displayed for a period of 14 days.
8.4 During the winner feature period, the winner feature will take priority over partner and sponsor splash presentations.
8.5 The Promoter will not substitute an AI-recreated vehicle for the winner's original photograph in the static congratulations splash.
8.6 The winner's WRTW @handle and a congratulatory message will be displayed as an overlay where technically supported.
9. Image Ownership, Permissions & Promotional Use
9.1 By entering, the entrant confirms they own the submitted image or have the right to use it.
9.2 By entering the competition, the entrant grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use their WRTW @handle, display name, reaction total, and submitted photograph for the purposes of administering and promoting the competition, including: (a) display of the entrant's @handle and submitted photograph on the public Winners League; (b) winner announcements and competition-related promotional displays on the WRTW platform and the Promoter's associated social media channels; (c) use of the original submitted photograph in the static winner congratulations splash described in clause 8; and (d) creation and display of the cinematic winner video described in clause 8, subject to the acknowledgment in clause 9.4.
9.3 The licence granted in clause 9.2 is given by the entrant as part of entering the competition and does not require any separate or additional permission. The entrant may request that the Promoter withdraw their publication from the Winners League or winner feature at any time, and the Promoter will use reasonable efforts to action such a request promptly.
9.4 The entrant acknowledges that AI-generated cinematic content may not accurately reproduce the exact appearance of their vehicle, and the Promoter accepts no liability for any such inaccuracies.
10. Privacy
10.1 The Promoter will collect and handle personal information in accordance with the WRTW Privacy Policy.
10.2 The entrant's WRTW @handle and display name may be displayed publicly on the Winners League and in the winner feature in accordance with the licence granted in clause 9.2.
10.3 The entrant's email address, internal user ID, and other private account information will not be displayed publicly.
10.4 The Promoter will retain competition records, including entry details, reaction totals, and verification decisions, for auditing purposes.
11. Disqualification, Disputes & Cancellation
11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms, including entries that involve fraudulent activity, manipulation of reaction counts, or misleading content.
11.2 The Promoter's decisions are final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the determination of the winner.
11.3 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition at any time if it believes the competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.
11.4 If a winner is subsequently found to be ineligible or disqualified, the Promoter may award the prize to the next highest-scoring eligible entrant.
12. Audit & Correction
12.1 The Promoter will maintain an audit trail of all competition administration actions, including the recording and correction of reaction totals and eligibility decisions.
12.2 Corrections may be made by authorised administrators only. All corrections will be logged with the original and corrected values, the administrator responsible, and the reason for the correction.
12.3 Historical competition records will be retained and will not be overwritten.
13. General
13.1 These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.
13.2 The Promoter reserves the right to update these terms. The version of the terms applicable to each competition round is the version published and in effect at the time the round opens.
13.3 If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
13.4 These terms constitute the entire agreement between the Promoter and the entrant in relation to the competition.
